The PAA, or Palestinian Automobile Association, told me to forget about my annual winter vacation in the Gaza. You would think by now I would pay attention. However, since I cannot afford the resorts on the Gulf of Agaba, I settle for the Mediterranean and fun in the sun on a strand that sometimes resembles Omaha beach on Normandy not so long ago.
