Super, Super, Super Tuesday!

Ted Cruz Celebrates

Yay for Super-duper Tuesday!

Not because Trump beat Rubio (who looks like Droopy Dog to me) and Cruz (who looks like one of the evil weasels in Who Framed Roger Rabbit... I almost wrote Who Killed Roger Rabbit, because that was the name of the book and I read it about 18 months before the film came out)...
not because the outrageous Clinton  (We came, we saw, he's dead! - in reference to Mu'ammar Ghadafi ... not to the US consul killed in Benghazi) beat Bernie...

But for the coming destruction of the Neo-Conservative mess we have gotten ourselves into ever since the USSR disappeared. I know that once we got a tax refund - the peace dividend since we no longer needed to spend so much on arms - the powers that be would leave no rock unturned until they found a vermins' nest of reignited conflict on a global scale.

Wow. Super Tuesday was an earthquake, and not just because Donald Trump ran the tables. The best thing was the complete drubbing and humiliation that voters all over America handed to the little Napoleon from Florida, Marco Rubio.
So doing, the voters began the process of ridding the nation of the GOP War Party and its neocon claque of rabid interventionists. They have held sway for nearly three decades in the Imperial City and the consequences have been deplorable...

Of Dubious Value

Neo-Conservative Foreign Policy

Bloomberg:
Putin Thinks He's 'Vladimir the Great,' Condoleezza Rice Says
http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2015-11-05/putin-thinks-he-s-vladimir-the-great-condoleezza-rice-says?cmpid=yhoo.headline&ref=yfp
As former U.S. Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice knew Vladimir Putin up close. One thing he liked to remind her during her time in the Bush administration was how Russia had "only been great when it has been led by great men, like Alexander II and Peter the Great.”

Hearing him eulogize former tzars, there was a little voice in her head that wanted to suggest “and Vladimir the Great?,” Rice told a group of investors and bankers at an annual forum hosted by Fitch Ratings Ltd. in New York on Wednesday. As a diplomat she never did out of politeness, “but that is how he thinks.”

Her musings on Putin’s motivations seek to put Russia’s growing assertiveness on the world stage, from the annexation of Crimea to the bombing campaign in Syria, as part of a grander scheme to restore Russian influence to its heyday. International sanctions and its first recession since 2009 have done little to blunt Putin’s standing among Russians.

“He has decided that he will find a way to avenge what he considers the greatest tragedy of the 20th century, which is the collapse of the Soviet Union,” said Rice, who served under President George W. Bush and was a diplomatic adviser to his father during the dissolution of the Soviet Union...

No mention of the 21st century's great tragedys.... like Yellow-Cake-Gate and the ensuing disasters in Iraq which befell us all, like a deadly, infernal line of dominoes, falling one after another.

Ms. Rice is reasoning by Analogy:
Oswald Spengler, The Decline Of The West
The means whereby to understand living forms is Analogy...

...Thus, in the case of Ranke, a master of artistic analogy, we find that his parallels of Cyarxes and Henry the Fowler... possess morphologically no significance, and his oft-quoted analogy between the Hellenic city-states and the Renaissance republics very little, while the deeper truth of his comparison of Alcibiades and Napoleon is accidental.

I can't find any Rice-ean analogies for the recently deceased Ahmad Chalabi, but throughout the period from 1991 - the first Iraq War - to the present, it is doubtful she ever said nor thought by any significant or deep analogies. (She may have envisged him as an Iraqi Patrick Henry, which would be consistent with the Cloud-Cuckoo-Land nature of Neoconservative foreign policy.)

Ahmad Chalabi (Image by © Patrick Robert/Corbis)

In Commentary two days ago, we read on the death of Chalabi:
Mourning Ahmad Chalabi
Michael Rubin / Nov. 3, 2015
https://www.commentarymagazine.com/foreign-policy/middle-east/iraq/mourning-ahmad-chalabi/
...The press also lazily accepted other false narratives and never actually conducting basic fact checking. Consider today’s obituary from the Washington Post, written by Loveday Morris. She writes, “After years in exile in the United States and Britain, Chalabi returned to Iraq after Saddam’s fall, becoming interim oil minister.”
This is false. Chalabi had a house in Beirut and London, but lived primarily inside Iraqi Kurdistan after the 1991 uprising freed the region from Saddam Hussein. When war broke out, he had been in Iraq for 12 years, and he was one of the few politicians to live exclusively outside the Green Zone in the wake of the war...

"This is false"?!
The nature, the essence of political Neoconservatism : to argue about whether their Man in Baghdad lived in Kurdistan or in London.

NO mention of the Falsehoods of yellow cake uranium; no mention of the falsehoods on Weapons of Mass Destruction, no mention of the myriad lies and subterfuges that committed us to this Trojan War which has no end.

If you want a reminder on how ignorant, clueless, and corrupt the Bush Administration was, go and re-read"
The New York Times
THE STRUGGLE FOR IRAQ: THE EXILE;
Conservative Allies Take Chalabi Case To the White House
By ELISABETH BUMILLER
Published: May 29, 2004
http://www.nytimes.com/2004/05/29/us/struggle-for-iraq-exile-conservative-allies-take-chalabi-case-white-house.html

...Mr. Wolfowitz's spokesman, Charley Cooper, said in an e-mail message that Mr. Wolfowitz believed that Mr. Chalabi and the Iraqi National Congress ''have provided valuable operational intelligence to our military forces in Iraq, which has helped save American lives.'' Mr. Cooper added in the message that ''Secretary Wolfowitz hopes that the events of the last few weeks haven't undermined that.''...

This was the Mr. Wolfowitz who - in his best George C. Scott imitation as General Buck Tirgidson in Dr. Strangelove -  said famously:

"This war will cost, ohhh, a billion dollars... TOPS!"

Nice to hear from you, Condoleezza.

Bush Reunion

Top: Wolfowitz, Kristol, Perle, Feith
Bottom:   Libby,  Bolton,  Ledeen

A Mendacity of Neocon Republicans...

"Mendacity" is used as a term of venery:
Venery refers to hunting game animals such as wild boar, hares, wolves, bears and — especially — deer. A close relative to venery is venison, nowadays always meat from a deer but in earlier times the flesh of any hunted animal.

Venery dates from medieval England and is closely connected with the royal forests established by the Norman kings and nobles after the Conquest of 1066...

This led to the expression terms of venery, collective nouns for types of game and other wild animals, such as cete of badgers, murder of crows, parliament of rooks and paddling of ducks.

It is said to contain the names of 600,000 to 700,000 of the dead ( De Inferis Quaerite ! ), or of only 30,000 to 32,000, depending on whom you ask. Incredible? You betcha!

The NeoCon Memorial: Billy Kristol

Billy (nee William) Kristol of The Weekly Standard has been hired as a columnist for The New York Times in what only can be seen as an Ashton Kutcher punk.

Mr. Kristol is referred to as a Conservative Columnist. He is not. He is a NeoCon and, thereby, an intellectual and ethical scoundrel.

The Neoconservative Memorial and the NIE

I certainly no longer am under the illusion that I can understand anything at all about Neoconservatives. I used to think that since Leo Strauss was the founding father, there was sort of a USA-Israel type of connection that explained everything. However, it does not. There is a true madness in Neoconservatism that goes far beyond any unthinking support of an ally...a truly mad and insane world view quite like that of General Jack Ripper in the film Dr. Strangelove.

We see the following:
http://www.voltairenet.org/article153013.html
The Neoconservative Agenda to Sacrifice the Fifth Fleet – The New Pearl Harbor
by Michael Salla

"The U.S. plans for an attack on Iran envision to sacrifice the Fifth Fleet in order to justify a nuclear retaliation. This is not a hypothetical scenario, but a real option being discussed within the U.S. Joint Chief of Staff cabinet. According to our sources, admiral William Fallon made clear that if such an order was given, he would refuse to follow it and would hand in his resignation along with the entire Centcom headquarter’s. So far only the Navy and Army’s superior officers’ resistance has prevented the neoconservatives and the Air Force to launch the operations." straight forward- possible asleep at the switch future interpret a la wtc make a note to make a note...before everything goes kaabloooey!

Neoconservative University?

Paul Wolfowitz is in the soup. He gave his paramour or partner, a Ms. Shaha Riz , a hefty pay raise at the World Bank to what the board considers an outrageous salary totally out of line with anything in the history of the World Bank. Mr. Wolfowitz was a neoconservative member of the USA State Department. He was appointed by President Bush, who also pushed for Harriet Myers to be on the Supreme Court, to be the head of the World Bank, and was accepted as such. From the BBC: In an editorial, Britain's Financial Times newspaper called for Wolfowitz to step down. "If the president stays, (the World Bank) risks becoming an object not of respect, but of scorn, and its campaign in favour of good governance not a believable struggle, but blatant hypocrisy," it said. Ms Riza had been a high-ranking communications employee at the bank working in the Middle East section. http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/6550995.stm I am certainly no better than Wolfie in any moral sense, nor do I wish to judge. However, there is a certain familiar refrain: Mr Wolfowitz - a former US deputy secretary of defence - at first denied that he was involved in the decision about Ms Riza's salary, but later admitted: "I made a mistake, for which I am sorry." I guess they all matriculated at Tangled Web U.

From The Archives

A note from my Note Vault: Use warfare to destroy infrastructure of target, then provide business for your own country's companies – a very unholy alliance. 04/12/03 March 12, 2003 apparently an observation on big Government and Big Business and how it was not only Oil, but also Oil Support Inudstries and Construction...in fact, it was all politically connected companies. Only, it did not seem to work out. So, the fact that we see the disastrous remains of the days of Iraq in front of us should not blind us to the fact that the planners had something very different in mind, and not merely an exportation of democracy. The very notion of destroying the structure of a state and dropping a "democracy" bomb on them, which would explode into a springtime of love and tolerance and democracy is the type of juvenile thought so characteristic of Neoconservatives.

Neocon Rap:MC Brownie And Floodmaster G.

You will say that this is another sophomoric attempt at humor. I agree. As I have said before, it is jejune and junior high; it is " jejun-ior high " humor. Somebody, some place, is not laughing. These are both good men. Maybe I should be glad I wasn't there. Perhaps, even in my insignificance, I somehow realize that it is more than just being a good guy; it is more than just being a good administrator. We lack a moral core about which we are absolutely certain, and which is not degraded by racism, contempt for others, greed, and lust for violent actions or stories and habits of thinking which are violent.

NeoCats and NeoDogs

I have been reading about the Neoconservatives. It seems most of them had been Neoliberal at one time. They only changed the trappings of compulsion.

Their belief in the State Behemoth imposing its will on the country and the world is the same, whether under the aegis of Liberalism or Conservatism. Neoconservatives and Neoliberals are power-brokers.
The difference between them and a Serbian General is that the Neos know when to stop the blood-letting...at least, they used to know. Sometimes it goes out of control.

They are totally the same in the reality that YOU do not matter one whit. Only the allegorical YOU matters, whether you are John Q Public, or you are the forgotten man, or you are the feminist, or whatever the label they apply to you and duct-tape across your mouth... No, we do not matter to them.
