This was the main message, and the whole sense many soldiers had in this operation was of a religious war.” Israel has its own little Jihad, jihad in the sense of holy war. We posted the survey results a month or so ago that showed that 90% of Jews saw the Holocaust as the defining moment of Jewish history, surpassing even Moses! The Holocaust led to the founding of the State of Israel - before any Messiah was on the horizon - and the Holocaust was the central idol of the new Jewish spirit. God did not bring them back to that land. They brought themselves, by their own efforts. It is no longer a holy land; they have created an idolatry of a historical moment and have enshrined it, for all the world like Ahab and Jezebel. Not Joshua...but bar Kochba...
