The Members of the US Congress want assurances that the CDC is doing all they can to prevent the spread of the Zika Virus. Congressman Rufus Hasp, Republican, said that the Zika response is going to be a dress rehearsal for the Z ("zombie") Virus, so the CDC better be on top of things.

However, Senator Mitch McConnell, Republican,

had a meeting with the Republican Senators and decided that no real effort should be made to eradicate the Zika Virus under a lame-duck President.

Some Republicans have suggested a wall along the southern border to keep Zika-carrying pismires out of the country. Their more intelligent brethren have pointed out that a wall won't stop mosquitoes, so a No-Fly Zone should be established.
