Leonard Cohen

Mr. Cohen's ballads formed the background of my early loves. However, much as I love him, I shall not spend $121 per balcony seat to see him. Leonard, you are the greatest.

Ah, Leonard. Many years ago I saw him in performance in Israel. He got into a bit of a mood and went off stage for a while to shave, and we had to sweeten him up by singing Shalom Aleichem. Can't believe we actually did that. But he's still the greatest, even so.

Isn't it obscene what it costs for concerts? There are very few I'd spend over $50 to see. Neil, of course, and maybe Van Morrison. But I've got a sneaking suspicion my concert days are over.
