Why I Lost Out To Sholem Aleichem

I had written that a community without Tradition ... Tra-a-a-DISH-unnn! ... such a community has no roots, and it is as unbalanced and as unstable as....as....

......as a cat on roller skates in the jungle!!

And the rest is history: instead of my hero, Teva the sandal maker, we had Aleichem's Tevye the milkman.
