We are the problem.
We are just too stubbornly ignorant, nasty, and brutish.
See my post before this one on Virtue Theory; it is we, the people, who have allowed ourselves to become barbarous - from road rage to talk radio.
Within intimate community we are loving and caring, yet let the sense of intimacy disappear and let us seem like strangers in a mall, and we become prey to our violent fantasies that by now are behavioral dispositions.
