Price of Gas

Gas is up. I was talking to a first mate on an American Steamship vessel and driving him around at 4:00 in the morning to customs, and he saw the prices posted, and said they had been around $2.70 when he was last ashore.
Gas prices maxed last time in the good year of 2008.

Algerians are rioting over food prices which have doubled in the past two months. Food prices are up world wide. Last time they were this high? 2007 - 2008, our favorite years.

There is so much easy money for speculators that, once again, prices are being bid up.

At some point, we really do have to get serious, but we are not ready yet. Once we take the second bounce off rock bottom, we'll get serious.
