Jimmy Carter is cancer free.
That is rather miraculous. I think I'll start a petition to get a jump start on his canonization as a saint, even though he is still alive. It is only a matter of time. Then we'll have our first US President saint.
It is time to revisit the mean-spirited, right-wing personalities who took glee in his illness.
Since he was a peanut farmer, I suppose that I shall be constantly mixing him up with St. Lawrence, who was a martyr, having been burned alive on some devilish device, and whose feast day Introit begins:
"O, holy roasted!..."
