In Bereshit, in Genesis, we read that Moses had a son Gershom so named because he was a stranger in a strange land.
The usual derivation of the name is from gersham meaning stranger.
Ghraib means "stranger, foreigner". Abu Ghraib is "father of a stranger".
So Abu Ghraib could refer to Moses.
If not, who was this Father of a Stranger? Why was his son considered strange to the extent that his father was known for his strange offspring?
