The Future of the City

A somber note...
I did this this morning; I use a very old photo processing software from the 90's. You may have to look closely to see what is going on; those aren't buildings in the foreground.

Interesting. They're tombstones in the foreground...but I am struggling to fathom the meaning. Unless it is a metaphor for the city, the widespread metallic glint and endless fumes, destroying the beauty and innocence of nature. So the tombstones would in fact be the mortuary of trees and animal species. Or the loss of spiritualism and the sense of quietness and God, in light of the incessant hustle and bustle of the city.

I think you hit it on the head. Actually, sometimes I just see things and try and put them together...
I guess the "meaning" is in the eye of the beholder.

Now that I am thinking about it, it could be a hopeful meaning about resurrection, or it could go the other way. Since the real city is in the background and further away, that should imply the future (even though the past is equally far away). So - since I'm in a good mood today - it is a hopeful image.
