Protests

The Wisconsin Education workers protesting at the State Capitol have compared Wisconsin's governor to Hosnis Mubarak. Interesting. I think this is how it will go: as politicians move to destroy workers' rights, there suddenly will be protesters gathering. When people have had enough, there will be a lot of them, and they will not go away, and we will have our Days of Rage.

If America was willing to cut back on the enormous budget they endow upon their military efforts, this Wisconsin budget issue would not be a problem, and all these people would be able to go about their day to day lives without this new burden.

...And America is a democracy they say? A state that serves the people's needs? A huge military budget is a waste of money. I hesitate to say this, but America is on the verge of becoming as bad a North Korea - all North Korea cares a whit for is their military.

I keep saying that I did not support the war in Iraq, I did not support going into Afghanistan and then almost losing it by ignoring it, and my elected representative did not vote on them.

I did not do anything to cause the economic crisis, and I have lost thousands in the price of my house.

When they come forward now and ask for further sacrifice, I say that I gave at the office!

No more!
