Checks and balances, anyone? Anyone? Anyone?
The NSA telephone scandal has exposed Congress as not having a clue as to the depth and scope of the spying on American citizens that has been taking place.
The Surveillance apparatus has their own courts with no other judicial review. Again, Congress was pretty much in the dark.
