True Visions

There is a possibility that large areas of North East Japan will not be habitable. The disaster caused by the Tokyo Electric Power Co. has now vastly exceeded the damage wrought by Nature.

I got a sense this morning of things beginning to unravel, slowly, but surely.
Crazed pastors burning holy  books, riots and murders of innocent people in response, and Japan bleeding: a slow but unmistakable descent into a future recognizable from all those films about the brutish future.

Containment is jeopardized, the fixes we are going through - shades of BP in the Gulf - are not working. No one knows what to do. People are in the cold, our pensions are in jeopardy, union rights are stripped by government decree...
Where are we?
We are exactly at the portal of the place I've been telling you about. The visions of the future are coming true: first Godzilla, then the Vampires and Zombies.
