Syria's Civil War
The USA has stopped all aid to the Syrian rebels, at last recognizing the fact that moderates do not have a chance against radicals.
Our allies, the Saudi Arabian rulers and the Likud in Israel, will not be happy. They devised this civil war, and they put a lot of time and effort into it.
If only we had bombed the chemicals weapons instead of relying of successful diplomacy! We could have seen a chemical pall cover parts of Syrian, increased the death toll, and committed ourselves to another ongoing "winning of hearts and minds".
Now ex-CIA chief thinks Assad may be the best choice for Syria.
The Conservative War Hawks almost pulled it off.
Perhaps this is the beginning of the end for the war party. Of course, polls will be taken and the results will show that the USA has lost influence in the world.
Peace is always unpopular among a certain element.
