Military retirees are outraged that Congress will start voting Thursday on a budget deal that trims military pensions, calling the move "an egregious breach of faith."In Detroit, the judge has ruled that pension are not safe from the proceedings of bankruptcy .
I remember from years and years ago someone writing that all these promises were likely to be broken.
We are in the time of broken promises. That's what I meant when I have said that the people in charge will balance the budget on our backs.
After the years go by, we shall have died off, and a new generation will be bright-eyed and bushy-tailed and ready to be similarly used and abused by the people we have put in charge.
We need a realistic option, not Tea Party know-nothingism.
