Note:

Fodor's concept of a brain code seems to apply to memory, not immediate sensation, or what I call primary engagement (with the world - such as meeting someone for the first time).

The primary engagement is all sensation and brain mapping.

Language is, by definition, a primary engagement. It is feeling one's way in the "world" by the sense organs of linguistics.
