Hoarding

Everyone seeks to fill out their lives. to create boundaries that define the self, then to fill those boundaries with as much as possible of matter and spirit; then possibly to go beyond those boundaries.

We grow: families and friends, lovers and enemies, new opinions and old discards.
We accumulate the intangible and the tangible.

Hoarders have the dysfunction of focusing mostly on the tangible, and instead of a bright lamp of a personal philosophy, they tend to save Bic lighters and light bulbs, until their belongings have reached the limits of their mortal domicile.
